Indian Spices

Because someone's going in NS sooon,
so 2 nights back was like the catching up session
before someone has to report to base camp next week!

It has been in awhile since I've last been to Tekka,
so they suggested Tekka for dinner.

I had thosai!

And a bit of Idah's share of rice with ayam masala
and yan's interpretation of
Indian's 'Coleslaw',
'Sayur Bayam(Spinach)' & 'Kubis(Lettuce)'.

Then headed down to ecp to have a cup
of hot cocoa & breathe in the night airrrrrr.

As you can see,
the holiday mode has brought us all
to become so bulat and heavy.

Well,

Semua makanan aku ngappppppp!

Anyway,

The Gelare Issue

The GELARE confusion.

To whomever it may concern,

I would like to know which of the Gelare outlets are still available in Singapore. It has come to my notice that most of your outlets have since ceased operations here. I, being a fan of gelare myself, am quite surprised and saddened by the news that most of its premiere outlets in Singapore, are now gone. With no explanations being stated on its closed walls for its closure, I hope there could be some brief explanation to this email.

Thank you.

With regards,
Sofia

In reply to my, some sort of 'complaint'.

Dear Sofia

Thank you for being a Gelare fan and your inquiry.

The franchise term for Gelare in Singapore came to an end in June. Not being able to agree on the renewal term, it was decided to terminate the operation. Fortunately we still have 3 outlets operation in Singapore with more to come shortly. The operation outlets are:

Gelare at Orchard Central
Gelare at E Hub Pasir Ris Downtown East
Gelare Causeway Point at Causeway Shopping Centre

We will have more outlets coming into operation shortly.

Kind regards
Director

Love, Pink

Just as about the fasting month of Ramadhan is nearing,
the 'Wedding Fever' hits by storm again.

Look at the poster..
soooooo photoshopped by NAZARATUL FARHANA.

The first thing she showed and told me
once I was seated was,
"Look at my hands! Camera!"

You can so imagine Nazaratul Farhana
in a purple wedding suit like this.
Not residing to anything.. but well..
HAHA.

While everyone's busy with the fondue.

The trio, as always.
=)

And i only realised that I hadn't
buttoned the collar area of my baju-kurung,
after I got home while browsing through the pictures
on my camera.

No wonder it felt weird.

Last Sunday,
Maisbaby & myself woke up very early in the morning
to make our way to the zoo!

The queue line to the ticket booth was unbelievably long.

It was the last day of school holdays,
so we thought it wouldn't be so packed.

BUT OUR INSTINCTS WERE DEFINITELY WRONG!

There was also a wedding ceremony at the zoo.
(Romantic sangat ke wedding with the ah mengs?)

Haha.
But no doubt,
the reception hall for the wedding
was pretty.

All white with flowers.

Queueing...

The swinging chimpanzee greeted us
with a warm shriekkkkkkkkk.

Mini waterfall

As long as he doesnt do anything stupid on me,
I'm definitely all fine with it.

A wilting Heliconia.
I remembered this plant very well
while I was studying Science in primary school.

The white tigers who had once
made headline news.

A kiss from the Aussie mammal.

Jeep!
I've always wondered how it'd feel like to
ride on a jeep and feel the gushing breeze sweeping through
my face.

Those baboons are very sexually active.
They try to mate like every 15mins.
Sexy hairy butts.

The water playground!

The wildlife show.
Very pretty all-white peacock!
The Iban men were sooo muscular
with their smoking abs..

The Splash show.
The sea-lion above is super cute.

Mais and myself had spare time to kill before
the last animal show.

So we walked around and found a booth for face-painting.

Since we are very young at heart(HAHA),
I had a butterfly and Mais had a flower
on our respective cheeks!

The artist working on my pink butterfly..

Halfway there...

Totally done!

Blue flower power for Maisbaby!

The above was during the Elphant of Asia Show.
The elephant had to spray the water to the crowd
using their trunks.
Thank God, we weren't soaking wet!

Clever elephants!

I love the giraffe's spots!
They're so pretty!!!

Flamingos.
The flamingos reminded me of Aisha's
"Jom ah Sofia.. must try Movida on Saturdays.
Got latin & salsa.."

A well photosynthesised heliconia.

One whole day with Maisbaby was so fun and very exhausting.
Can you believe it, she even had the energy to still
wander around the zoo trying to grab whatever chance there
is to snap pictures of the animals even while it was raining!
I totally gave up already..
haha.

This is just Singapore Zoo..
how to go holiday like this, Sofia?

[ p.s Happy 45th monthsarry Baby! ;) ]

2 Guys, Ladies & Red Cars

I'VE FINALLY CHANGED THE LAYOUT!

Since I'm gonna begin with a full time job in about less than a month's time, I'm making use of each and other remaining days doing food-hunting, window-shopping, hanging out till late, chilling & everything else but exercising. Very the unhealthy.. I know. But what to do... im living my life to the fullest. It's either now or never! Haha.

2 nights ago, we(me especially; im very choosy when it comes to food. So yeah. Haha!) were craving for Honey Chicken Wings, BBQ Stingray & Kang-kong belachan. So we headed down to Blue Lagoon for a huge spread of dinner. Furthermore it's been a few years since I've last dropped by there, so I wanted to check that place out. The parking lot were full as always. Finding seats was even harder! We had to wait for about 15 minutes before we got ourselves a table. I really loveeeeeeeee the Honey Chicken Wings! Oh, and be careful of the 'Minah Parking Attendant' when you park your vehicles there. They're like always there 24/7.

It's been about a year since Ally & myself last hangout,
so it was right on time.

For the next 3 shots, please take a good look
at Froz's expression on his face.

"Sleeeeeeepy ahhhhh..."

"Apeee ehhh? Awakeeeeeee ahhhhhh..."

Yes,
Froz is squatting like an ah-pek in the market.

For the next shot,
I instructed him to do the following pose;

Me:"Hug me..."
Froz:"Okay.."

RIGHT FROZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
It looks like he's pushing me to the front laaaaa.

Peace Out Cool Couple Vs Hot Couple

Hide & Seek Vs Laid-Back

Because I love you,
no matter what.

Rock with me.

Because I always love to be the last in line,
and I love to capture moments,
by the back.
=)

In the next entry to come...

Eeeee horrr eeeee horrr
Oink oink oink oink
Mooo mooooo
Roarrrrrrrr roaaaaarrrr!

Hair products

Why is it so hard to find a set of shampoo & conditioner which smells very fruitily nice and very suitable for my hair type - thick and wavy.

I've tried all kinds of shampoo and none of them seem to have that much impact on the overall condition of my hair, just as yet.

Pantene (for dry hair)
My verdict: Smells very fruity & nice but it makes the ends of my hair dry!
Heard from a friend that she even lose more hair after using it for quite some time.
So I used it only for about 1 month, and to the trash bin it went.
I HAVE NO IDEA WHY ALL THOSE ARTISTE EVEN PROMOTE IT.
Siaaaaaaaaooooooooo!

Sunsilk (straight & silky smooth)
My verdict: Gave that silky smooth texture for one month, the months after that
it lacks the lustre just like the one before this, it made my hair dry too.

Vidal Sasoon (for thick and wavy hair)
My verdict: I remembered using this in primary school! Haha.
Cant really remember how good it was, but i used it for a few years.
A brand that's pretty good i must say.
But my hairstyle in primary school like tomboy like that,
so it doesnt really matter!
Haha.

Bealite (for coloured and rebonded hair)
My verdict: The scent isn't that powerful but it gives shine to my hair.
I used this for about 1-2years and gave up after that.
I wanted a much more fruity smell.

Dove (straight & silky smooth)
My verdict: I loveee Dove. The smell is good but not so strong so i guess i was
sick and tired of the smell already so I ventured out to explore on other
hair products. It made my hair soft but so-so i guess.

Loreal Elseve (Orange coloured bottle for coloured and dry hair)
My verdict: Same as pantene! Not good at all. It made my hair
dry, eventhough the scent was nice, it totally screwed the hair texture.
So, its a no-no!

Herbal Essence (Orchid scent for hydration)
My verdict: Loveeeeeee the smell!
Very fruity flowerish smell and it makes your hair soft
even after a blow-dry.

The Face Shop (Changpo Magic for Thick & curly hair, green bottle)
My verdict: It keeps your hair clean! Eventhough the smell isn't that fruity
I love the very clean spick and span kinda feeling. It makes your hair
feel very cleaaaaaaan and fresh.
Im currently using it now and the bottle is finishing soon,
so i'm considering of hopping onto another brand cos I want a
fruitier smell!

Right now,
I am still on the look out for a much more effective set of shampoo and conditioner.
I'm ruling out Body Shop and Kerastase
cos I've asked around & heard bout their share of stories too.

I need to find a new set of shampoo and conditioner for thick & wavy hair,
which will make a guy gugugaga from afar.

Rigghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhttttttttt.

Help me find one!

Aiyah.. don't blame for hopping onto one brand to the other,
cos if i dont like it, means i dont like it.
Simple and well understood.

And I've learnt my lesson-
BLOW DRY YOUR HAIR
& DONT BE LAZY.

Haha.
I've well understood that.

It's all about trial & error.
The same PRINCIPLE like how you go about
shopping for clothes that fits your body shape
and size.

Next topic on another entry,
on another day;-

MAKE-UP!
Ohhhh boyyyy.. I love this topic!
Make-up is an art.
Well,at least to me it is.
And i dont care if it's light or thick make-up.
Cos even a light make-up
will make a person look more presentable.

I'll tell you my experience about how I go about
doing trial and error on eyeshadows, mascaras
make up powder, concealer, blusher.. bla bla bla.
How some experiments went wrong
& how I go about correcting it.

& maybe you can also share with me your experience
with all these beauty products!
Would love to hear from the mass out there too.
